Two scarce first edition volumes, bound in half black calf and marbled-paper covered boards, with gilt heraldic device to front boards; spines with four raised bands and gilt lettering on red morocco labels; bindings sound and firm, a little rubbed/scuffed with wear to edges and corners, short split at top of rear joint of Vol. I; marbled endpapers; damp staining to top corner of Vol. I title; contents otherwise lightly toned with just a little light foxing, soiling, finger-marks &c in places.
