L. Nepomnyashchy Illustrations pour "Les Trois Mousquetaires"
Original, handpainted illustrations by Russian painter Leonid Nepomnyashchy for the famous story "The Three Musketeers" by French author Alexander Dumas. Beautifully preserved watercolor illustrations depicting scenes from this classical story, with handmade Russian caligraphy of the title, author's name and illustrators name. Includes miniature 6" x 4.3" postcards of 31 of the gorgeously colored pieces. Each image includes a sleeve in which they have been carefully sustained. The paintings are in excellent condition; the sleeves are aged with slightly bent corners and edges.
